Types of Lovers Bonuses

Stat-sharing bonds pass a percentage of one hero's primary stat to the partner — attack to Caster, armor to Ranged DPS, debuff power to Summoner. These bonds reward concentrating relics on the stat donor hero.

Trigger bonds fire effects on combat events shared between partners — on kill, on crit, on shield break, on debuff apply. Trigger bonds reward aligning proc frequency between heroes via specs and relics.

Conversion bonds transform one hero's surplus resource into partner value — overheal to damage, minion death to buff, gold spent to team stats. Conversion bonds reward economy or sustain-heavy setups.

Aura bonds extend one hero's passive aura to the partner at amplified potency. Aura bonds reward Buffer plus carry archetype planning.

Draft-Phase Pair Planning

Plan Lovers during initial draft, not mid-run. Bond value accumulates over every wave — late activation sacrifices compound scaling. Identify bond tag first, then select heroes whose archetypes and planned spec branches match the tag.

Sequence: choose frontline and support for role coverage, select carry archetype, then pick Lovers partner whose bond amplifies carry tag. Flex slot remains independent unless flex hero completes a three-hero combo pattern.

If draft offers no valid bond matching your relic direction after wave one shop, abandon forced pairing — two strong independent heroes beat a weak bond.

Recommended Archetype Pair Patterns

Buffer plus Ranged DPS: classic aura amplification pair. Buffer spec into party attack; Ranged DPS stacks attack relics; bond shares attack percent or crit. Highest consistency pair for standard demo clears.

Debuffer plus Burst specialist or Caster: setup and payoff pair. Debuffer applies stacks; partner detonates or consumes stacks for spike. Strong against armored content.

Lovers and Specialization Coordination

Capstone specs on both partners must not conflict with bond requirements. A bond requiring ability triggers fails if one partner capstones into pure auto-attack with no abilities.

Coordinate capstone timing: if bond full effect unlocks at partner Tier 2, delay other hero's capstone until partner reaches Tier 2 unless run survival demands earlier commit.
