Where to Download

Guildrun is available exclusively through Steam for the demo period. Search for "Guildrun" in the Steam store or visit the official Leyline store page linked from the game's Steam listing. The demo is free to install — no purchase required — and appears as a separate library entry labeled as a demo build. There are currently no download codes, beta keys, or third-party distribution channels; if you see key giveaways, verify they are official Leyline promotions before redeeming.

Platform Availability

The July 2026 demo supports Windows and macOS. Windows requires Windows 10 or later; macOS requires Ventura 13 or later on Apple Silicon. Linux is not listed for the demo at launch. Before installing, confirm your hardware meets the specs on our system requirements page — Guildrun's hex arena battles and particle effects benefit from a discrete GPU on Windows.

Installation Steps

Open Steam and log into your account. Search the store for Guildrun and navigate to the official store page published by Leyline. Click the green "Download" or "Play Demo" button to add the demo to your library. From your library, select Guildrun Demo and press Install. Choose an install directory with at least fifteen gigabytes of free space on Windows or eighteen gigabytes on Mac — see system requirements for exact figures.

First launch may take longer while shaders compile. After the title screen loads, the tutorial introduces hex arena combat, hero recruitment, and relic drafting. New players should follow the beginner guide and watch the embedded walkthrough in the demo walkthrough before pushing higher difficulties.

What the Demo Includes

The demo ships a substantial slice of the full game. You can recruit from twenty-five heroes, explore one hundred eighty specializations, collect over three hundred relics, and purchase more than one hundred items across procedural hex arena routes. Eight difficulty tiers escalate challenge through modifiers, and endless mode with leaderboards unlocks as you progress. Runs average about twenty minutes, and you can save mid-run to resume later.
